Story

Fredrik has over 18 year's photography experience world wide. Born in Sweden he began freelancing with magazines mainly shooting extreme sports in the early 90’s.

In 1996 he became a photographers assistant for Vince Reichardt, top photographer and owner of the agency V.O.L, which gave him the opportunity to work on big advertising campaigns such as 'Absolut Vodka', 'Coca Cola' and 'Volvo'. It also gave him an opportunity to deal with agencies, clients and models and build his own commercial portfolio.

Fredrik then moved to London in 2000 to further his career where he worked on many projects before moving to New Zealand in 2004 and setting up the new base in Wanaka, New Zealand. Where he lives with his wife Laura and baby boy Lucas

Fredrik has used Canon since the beginning of his career. He was one of the first photographers to move to digital and digibacks in early 1997 and worked with large format Sinar cameras for products and architectural and Hasselblad for advertising shoots.

Fredrik has extensive experience and knowledge with retouching, having worked with Photoshop from version 1 and constantly updating his software and skills.

Before shooting fulltime he was a pro skier on the Freestyle world cup tour for Sweden and if he’s not shooting you will find him mountain biking, windsurfing or skiing.
