Mantells in Wanaka is an amazing house, it recently won architectural awards and it is really one of a kind. The height inside together with the unique furniture and the use of space is what it makes it so different. It has a nice indoor and outdoor flow with big windows and a light colours.

I shot this Wanaka house for Gary Todd awhile back and its now featured in the latest Trends Outdoor magazine. I worked close with Gary to get the photos he wanted. Its great when you can work together with the architect to showcase and work with the features and ideas he had when he designed the house.

I have been shooting new images for AWS Legal, including shots of the latest addition to the AWS Wanaka Branch, Mike Toepfer. We did a few different location shots and a few studio shots before heading out and taking some casual shots with a road bike. Mike is really in to road biking but his bike hadn’t arrived for the shoot, so Racers Edge was very helpful and set us up with a great bike so we could get the shot done.

I shot the cover and feature of Nick Mills for Young Country Magazine about a month ago and it was great fun. We ended up shooting a lot of different stuff and Nick told me all about how the work is done at Rippon. Another fun thing is that Nick was a member of the NZ freestyle team at the same time as i was in the Swedish National team so we have trained and competed against each other in the World cup and Europa cup.

Wanaka people were asked to dress up in wedding attire to raise money for a neo-natela resusicitation unit for town. We shot it down at the lakefront in the evening in a cold southerly wind and everyone did well to bare the cold weather.

I recieved another qualification for having commercial work of highest standard. It’s a very important qualification to gain and I am now the only photographer in Otago to have both a Commercial and Wedding qualification. Not only do I constantly provide top imagery I can now also give my clients the comfort of knowing that I am the only photographer on the South Island to have the qualifications and belonging to both NZIPP and AIPA.

I met up with Head chef Mark Sycamore and Demi Chef de Partie Joseph Clark at Blanket bay lodge to shoot images for an article in Elements. It was nice to be back at Blanket Bay again after spending many hours there working on Jason Dells food book Savvy last year.
