Hollie & Kevin’s Vintage Wedding

Posted: January 11th, 2012 | Tags: , , , | No Comments »

Hollie and Kevin had a beautiful wedding planned by Laura from Mint Events Wedding Planning. The ceremony was held outside on the lawn at Stoneridge Estate followed by the  reception at Mt Soho. All the details that went in to the wedding were amazing, everything from stationery to table settings worked perfectly together. Hollie looked absolutely stunning in a unique dress and with her gorgeous red hair – she was a pleasure to shoot. The weather was perfect and guests had a great time enjoying old fashioned lemonade and having fun in the photo booth before dinner.

Product Shoot for Tallon Marine

Posted: January 4th, 2012 | Tags: | No Comments »

I love my job as a Photographer, it is always diverse and exciting. This time of the year it full speed ahead with 4 weddings last week and 5 this week but I always make time for my commercial clients.

Commercial Photography is my background as a photographer and a big part of my job. The commercial side is what has helped me become one of the top wedding photographers and it gives me an opportunity to come up with new ideas and concepts that I can bring to my weddings.

This product shoot is for Tallon Marine a world leading company making fittings for boats, kayaks, cars you name it! My work with Tallon is an ongoing project as they constantly come out with new products.

Sharon + Nick’s Spring Wedding

Posted: January 3rd, 2012 | Tags: , | No Comments »

Time flies, Sharon and Nick had a great wedding day a couple of months back and one of my favorite so far of the season. Not only because they showed how much they were in love but that I got to shoot around Cromwell. We had met a couple of times before the wedding and one of them for an engagement session so if you haven’t seen it check it out! and I had really been looking forward to shoot their wedding.

The ceremony was at the beautiful Bannockburn church and the reception was held at The Golden Gate lodge in Cromwell. Sharon and Nick had really transformed it and it looked amazing on the day.

Fullmoon shots of Minaret Station Lodge Wanaka

Posted: January 2nd, 2012 | Tags: , , , , | No Comments »

I was just going back through some files and saw that i forgot to post this shoot! Hard to even think about how cold and snowy it can be here when its been around 28 degrees for weeks now!!This was shot a few weeks back after the last big snowfall we had. Matt phoned me up and asked if its possible to shoot in the fullmoon and I said sure that will work , only problem was I was in hospital for a unruly appendix! Second day back from hospital and I packed my bags for an exciting helicopter shoot at night! We flew up in the afternoon to get some more day and evening shots.

Then it was all just a wait for the moon… It really got pitch black and it was not until after midnight the light started to come back but we had to wait to around 2 am until the moon finally got up at the right spot and gave us light enough to fly. Door off from the heli and -10 could only mean very cold when we actually started flying… it was s surreal feeling to take off and fly at night. After a while you got used to the light and we worked our way around the mountains and rivers to get the shots we wanted.

Wanaka Heli Wedding

Posted: December 8th, 2011 | Tags: , , , | No Comments »

Winnie  and Alex had a great Heli Wedding here in Wanaka. I was shooting for the brand new Wanaka & Queenstown Wedding business,  heliweddings.co.nz and we had so much fun.

We did some shots down by the lake before heading back to Mountainrange lodge to meet the helicopter for heli shots up on Coromandel Peak. A beautiful and sunny day with a bit of wind which Winnie found out by having her  veil fly away. A quick catch by our pilot saved the day.
