Product Photography for Wanaka Living

Posted: March 1st, 2011 | Tags: , , , , | No Comments »

Another great shoot for the Wanaka Living product range. Its nice to mix up the wedding season with lots of commercial jobs. It helps getting new ideas and keeping the mind fresh.

We shot it at Release lodge in Wanaka. A great location and architecturally perfect for the Wanaka Living range

I have been working with them since the start so have a look at their website for the whole product range

Check out Release lodge, a great place to stay when you are down in Wanaka. They are also great clients of mine.

I finished another great shoot up at Minaret station,Wanaka’s latest super luxury accommodation with helicopter access only.  Living in tents doesn’t get better than this.  Just read the intro from their  website below, doesn’t it just make you want to go!

Minaret Station is New Zealand’s first luxury tented camp, located at the head of stunningly picturesque glacial valley in the heart of the Southern Alps. Accessible only by helicopter, Minaret Station treats those fortunate enough to experience this wilderness landscape to a level of comfort and style never before available in the New Zealand mountains.

Guests are hosted under canvas in luxuriously furnished tented suites complete with wall to wall sheepskin carpet, king beds, private deck set with its own hot tub, full en-suite with double vanity and endless hot showers.

On-site facilities include the ‘Mountain Kitchen’ with its well stocked library, dining room, living area, open fires, first class chef and on-site private guides.

Wanaka’s latest luxury accomodation is this amazing place only accessible by helicopter where you can enjoy the most incredible views and luxury while still have a wilderness feel that beats anything else. It’s a great combination and its one of a kind. Check out the website and book a weekend away.

We did this shoot a few weeks before they had open and just to fly in to the valley is an experience worth experiencing. I am due to do another shoot up there but we are waiting for the weather to clear up and give us some nice days and evenings for a shoot

Model shoot for Make Up Artist Gena Bagley

Posted: December 13th, 2010 | Tags: , | No Comments »

Make Up artist Gena Bagley wanted to have some model shots of her work. She wanted clean and crisp looking shots that could be in any fashion magazine. The brief fitted my style and work perfectly.

I have worked with Gena on several weddings before and she always provides a professional service with beautiful make up. Gena knew I could deliver what she wanted and It was great to get back to more model work, it was something I worked a lot with back in Sweden

We had 4 girls to work with and shot them in different stages of makeup. The set up was standard butterfly with reflectors on each side and one below to lift the shadows on some of them.

I got  a lot of ” behind the scenes” material and will post it soon and will add some more images from the shoot on facebook this afternoon

Contact Energy – Rock gas shoot

I was working with Lisa Lyford from Insight Consultants in Wellington on the rebranding on Rock gas and shot the first one in Alexandra. Its great  working on projects with agencies like Insight:) it’s even better when they have the option to view their site to the tunes of Swedish death metal!
