I first met Barbara and Richard in a cafe in London together with Laura from Mint Events.
The ceremony was at St Pauls church, Arrowtown, after which guests were transported to Rippon Vineyard, Wanaka. Barbara and Richard had an old school VW combi waiting outside the church to take us to Lake Hayes where Over the Top helicopters collected us for heli shots on route to Rippon Vineyard. The rain was hanging in the air and we had to find a good spot below the clouds, away from the worst rain for the location shoot before heading over the ranges to Wanaka. We did some more shots around the vineyard with the bridal party. The bridesmaids wore bright yellow Lanvin designs which made them stand out in the rainy weather.
The reception started with a champagne tower and lots of excellent videos and speeches. Its been great to see the venue take shape and its such an asset for weddings in Wanaka. For me it was great to be the photographer for the first wedding in the new building!
A great wedding that was planned by Mint Events Wedding planning

A great Wanaka Wedding planned by Mint Events. The ceremony was planned to be at Rippon vineyard but the weather changed and it had to be inside at The Landing. We had a break in the weather and headed out for location shots and got some amazing images at Rippon with sun, snow showers and rays of light cutting through the clouds. The couple have asked for privacy and to not have any photos of them available for the public to view so you have to settle with some set up shots and one of my favourite pair of shoes.

I shot the cover and feature of Nick Mills for Young Country Magazine about a month ago and it was great fun. We ended up shooting a lot of different stuff and Nick told me all about how the work is done at Rippon. Another fun thing is that Nick was a member of the NZ freestyle team at the same time as i was in the Swedish National team so we have trained and competed against each other in the World cup and Europa cup.

It was a rainy day in Wanaka and the ceremony was supposed to be at Rippon vineyard but due to the rain the backup at Edgewater Resort had to be used. We did get a moment with slightly less rain and managed to get the location shots done at Rippon and the lakefront and got a nice moody feel to them.
