Another great shoot for the Wanaka Living product range. Its nice to mix up the wedding season with lots of commercial jobs. It helps getting new ideas and keeping the mind fresh.

We shot it at Release lodge in Wanaka. A great location and architecturally perfect for the Wanaka Living range

I have been working with them since the start so have a look at their website for the whole product range

Check out Release lodge, a great place to stay when you are down in Wanaka. They are also great clients of mine.

Another product shoot for Wanaka Living. We shot around 10 products with a few different set ups. This is for the new catalougue and marketing material for magazines and tradeshows.

Advanced Advertising Photography Set up

This was a great job, we had a crew of 4 to set up this shoot. We started early in the morning and spent 2 hours to get everything ready for when the natural light was right.  The sun burned the cloud layer off and we got clear blue sky and a calm lake. This shoot was done as a cover shot and we did several product set ups for different purposes such as trade shows and point of sale.

Wanaka Living – The Ruby Island shoot

Posted: July 27th, 2009 | Tags: , , , | No Comments »

A very early start out on Ruby Island, it was freezing and we had to get two leather sofas, chest, rugs, speakers… to the far end of Ruby Island! We had lots of hands to help out so I could concentrate to get the set up right. We wanted the sun to be on the lower side so it wouldn’t overpower too much so we had a deadline to get the shot done. To get all the furniture and equipment up there was the most time consuming thing, the actual shoot was done in 20 minutes.

Wanaka living – The Bath shoot

Posted: July 16th, 2009 | Tags: , , , | No Comments »

This was a technical set up, it was an old cast iron bath that took 4 people to get in place and to heat up the water we set up a gas burner around lunchtime and by the evening it was warm enough to get in too. There is only a short time to shoot when the light is right to get the warm feeling and still getting all the contrast of the mountains and details of the lake and bath. I had two flashes set up and fired via remote. The shot was for the Wanaka Living catalougue.
